Technorati: Less noise in the Blah-go-sphere?
Technorati's David Sifry pubslihed his State of the Blogosphere on November 6th and it seems there is less noise these days ...
Even though Technorati is tracking 30 million more blogs since the February report ,the number of average new posts per day has been relatively flat up only about 2-300 thousand per day. In fact going back to the October 2004 the number of blogs tracked by Technorati has grown from 4 to 57 million while the average number of posts per has moved from 400k to 1.3 million.
Perhaps the number of active blogs defined by Technorati as at least a single post in the last 90 days (and excluding new blogs) would be a better KPI of this publsihing segment.
